You Are a Key to Student Success

Supervisors play an important role in elevating the experience of student employees on campus. With the help of an exceptional supervisor each student employee has the opportunity to gain marketable work skills, a new community of Gusties who cares about their development and an additional mentor to help them on their journey on the hill. Here are some of the resources we have to support our supervisors in the important work they do.

Where do I start?

Here is information for the most common resources needed to hire a student employee. If you have not had student employees in previous years, reach out to the g-studentemployment [at] gustavus.edu (Student Employment Office) to get started. 

How do I approve time and manage performance?

There are currently two methods for tracking and approving time. Your department will use Homebase and MyGustavus.
