“Gustavus” North
You’ll find double dorm rooms holding under 200 sophomores and juniors here. There’s a newly renovated lower level lounge, kitchen, and study room. Rooms contain a convertible dresser/desk, desk chair, and bed (mattress & frame) for each resident and one shared wardrobe. Bed frames are adjustable to raise to loft-height without needing to order a loft kit. All rooms have laminate wood flooring. Floors alternate by gender.
What’s Cool About It
You’d think North Hall would be our northernmost dorm. You’d be wrong. Norelius, Sorensen, and Gibbs are all a few degrees closer to the arctic circle than North Hall. This doesn’t make it any less cool. North’s lounge and its eastern-facing dorm rooms boast some of the best views on campus. Land on that side and you’ll wake up every morning in the treetops looking out to the eastern ridge of the Minnesota River Valley. North is connected to Gibbs and Sorensen, which, combined, create the superdorm students call Complex, or ’Plex for short.
